Team XTR: Seized caliper, new bolts, adjustable bits

Carrying on from the previous topic the new bolts have finally arrived from eBay. They are 10.9 tensile bolts, more suited for automotive uses than the 8.8′s I had planned to use and promptly sheared off when fitting.

Other bits which came to light this week was the N/S/R caliper is seized and doesn’t re-tract properly nor slide properly so this will need re-building. I put the wheel back on last night to find it almost impossible to rotate by hand – even when jacked up. I’ll get the caliper and new bolts installed in the lower control arm this week and then get some pics up.

I have also been in touch with Jerrick from MeisterR about some potential coilovers for the car. The MeisterR Zeta-R suspension has been getting some good write ups so this might make an appearance on the Team XTR car if the price is right of course.
