Lewis Hamilton secured a brilliant pole position for tomorrows Canadian Grand Prix… but it wasn’t without a degree of excitement and amusement as he was forced to stop the car on circuit so the car didn’t run out of fuel.

..and then starts pushing it!

Carrying on from the previous topic the new bolts have finally arrived from eBay. They are 10.9 tensile bolts, more suited for automotive uses than the 8.8′s I had planned to use and promptly sheared off when fitting.

We’ve been a bit slow on the posting front lately but things are picking up again and we are dusting off the cars (or clearing the snow off in some cases !) ready for the new season…keep checking back for updates as we put together our lists of this years auto must haves!
Fantastic day for the Brazilian as he gains in the title fight with teammate Button with a sensational victory at the utterly boring Valencia street circuit.
Brit, Lewis Hamilton led early on but a fluffed pit stop by the woking boys gave the advantage to Brawn who never looked under pressure despite Hamilton pressing on late.
A great victory, totally deserved. Well done Rubens.
Brawn running well. McLaren looking good, despite a spin for Lewis Hamilton which broke the brand new nose. Ferrari missing Massa/Schumacher. Alonso fastest. At least the spaniards are happy!
Renault were allowed to race after a successful appeal to the FIA lat week. Instead of the ban they had been imposed with, they got away with a €50,000 fine. Pocket money!
In the pitlane…. Despite setting the slowest times in both session stand-in Ferrari driver Luca Badoer amasses €5,400 in fines for speeding. Welcome back Luca.
Today we received an email from Felipe Massa’s family. We continue to wish him all the best in his recovery.
Dear friends,
On behalf of Felipe we want to thank you all for the numerous messages of
support we received from all over the world over the last days. To feel your
support in this difficult moment gives us lots of strength.
We thank you from the deepest of our hearts.
Raffaela, Luiz Antonio, Ana Elena, Eduardo, Fernanda, Nicolas.
7-time World Champion Michael Schumacher will be replacing Felipe Massa for the forthcoming races. He will drive alongside fellow World Champion Kimi Raikkonen.
Can’t wait for Valencia now!
Schumacher is not ruling out a return to F1 to stand in for Massa.
The gossip was bound to happen and only Schuie himself will know how much truth there is to the rumours. However, it would spice thing up a little though and could be interesting. If we can’t have Massa back just yet then Schumacher would be my choice thats for sure !
(Wouldn’t of heard me say that a few years ago when he was fighting Alonso for the title !)
